We spent the day in the south of Salta. The whole area consists of a lot of mountains, so potentially good views everywhere. After a stop at “El Dique”, a lake sourrouonded by a few smaller mountains, we went on a drive through a national park. It was pretty much as you would expect a road in the mountains in Argentina to be. A serpentine around them, with a rock-wall on the one side and the edge on the other. We passed some little townships and saw huge cactuses for the first time in South America.
